Kesempatan Mendapatkan Beasiswa Belajar dari Pemerintah Jepang dan Bank Dunia mengundang aplikasi dari pertengahan karir profesional di negara-negara berkembang untuk The Joint Japan / World bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ / WBGSP). Aplikasi batas waktu untuk program ini adalah 31 Maret 2009.

The program supports studies at the master’s degree level in fields related to development at universities in World Bank member countries. In 2009, the Program collaborates with 41 higher education institutions worldwide and candidates are encouraged to apply to one of these institutions. Applications to other higher education institutions will also be considered.

Graduate Program 2009 by Japan Scholarship

International Graduate Program for Advanced Science (lGPAS)-Application deadline is January 31, 2009.

International Graduate Program for Advanced Science (IGPAS) is an interdisciplinary graduate program in the Graduate School of Science, Tohoku University.

It was established in October 2004 as the first international graduate program founded in Japanese national universities. IGPAS offers courses in English for international students who are eager to obtain master’s and doctoral degrees from the Graduate School of Science. It is also aims to educate Japanese students to exert their abilities as internationally-active, professional scientists.

IGPAS has proudly reserved positions of Japanese government scholarship for its master’s students since its foundation, and in 2008, IGPAS-Super Doctoral Course (SDC) has been started for doctoral students jointly with the Institute for the International Advanced Research and Education (IIARE) of Tohoku University. Students of IGPAS-SDC benefit from fellowship by IIARE to promote world top-level, interdisciplinary research at the Graduate School of Science.

Master and Doctoral Scholarship for Foreign Students at Osaka University by Japanese Government

The Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University aims to acquire a good international reputation through increased involvement in the exchange of students and/or researchers and in joint research projects. It’s called Engineering Science 21st Century” Program! “Engineering Science 21st Century” is a special program taught in English for Master’s and/or Doctoral Courses.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB)

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) - Japan Scholarship Programme (JSP) was established in April 1988 with funding from the Government of Japan. It is intended to provide an opportunity to fully qualified citizens of ADB developing member countries to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related areas to attend academic institutions in the Asia-Pacific region. ADB-JSP enrolls about 300 students annually in 20 academic institutions located in 10 countries within the region.

Asian Institute of Management is one of institutions participating in this ADB-JSP scholarship program.

Yoshida Scholarship Foundation Japan

Yoshida Scholarship Foundation was founded through the advocacy of the late Mr. Tadao Yoshida, founder of YKK group of companies, to bring able persons to the nation and society as well as to contribute to society by financially assisting and providing students of excellent nature with equal opportunities of education.

This scholarship program is offered to the following students, who are still in home country before departure to Japan:

1. Countries
Mongolia, China, Korea, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan or one of ASEAN countries.

2. Fields
Natural Science or Engineering except medical, dental and veterinary.

3. Level of study and period of scholarship grant

Master’s degree-2 years, under 30 years of age on April 1 of application year.
Doctor’s degree-3 years, under 35 years of age on April 1 of application year.
Non degree students are not eligible.

4. University in Japan
Applicants are required to be admitted by one of the following universities and receive recommendation from the university to our foundation.

The University of Tokyo
Tokyo Institute of Technology
Keio University
Waseda University
Kyoto University
Doshisha University
Kwansei Gakuin University

5. Scholarship grant

(1) Stipend: 150,000 yen per month
(2) Matriculation fee, tuition fee: max.2,500,000 yen.
(3) Housing allowance: at large city, max. 40,000 yen per month. other city, max. 20,000 yen per month.
(4)Family allowance: if spouse lives together in Japan and he/she has no source of income: 20,000 yen per month.
(5)Travel expense: A round-trip air ticket, economy class.

6. Application

All application shall require recommendation from the university mentioned above and shall be accepted through the university in Japan. Applicants are required to start preparation at least one year prior to his/her departure from home country to Japan.

7. Number of scholarship winners

7 students per year.
(7 universities mentioned above shall recommend 1 student each every year.)
